Caring — Challenging — Community — these values guide us at IGLA. We recognize that each aspect of a student’s experience is an opportunity for growth, and we require every student to explore a range of interests in academics, the arts, athletics, and service.

We believe that each student’s potential must be developed thoughtfully through a stimulating curriculum that encourages students to challenge themselves. As students take increasing individual and collective responsibility for their development, appropriate structure and high expectations establish a strong foundation and valuable framework for learning and creative expression. Within this framework, we encourage each student to question assumptions, take risks, learn from mistakes, and participate in scholarly inquiry.

International Global Learning Academy is a home school based collective learning environment. Founded by several families who wanted to come together to create a learning program and atmosphere that encourages domestic and international travel as a key educational tool in the development of and education of young minds. Our program has a strong emphasis on real world /in the field learning initiatives. For example, every year students are required to visit a minimum of 3-4 countries per year. Some of our students travel to as many as 15 countries per year. We have a strong emphasis on travel programs that focus on entrepreneurship, business, leadership, mathematics, financial literacy, history and geography. We aim for our students to spend an equal amount of time in the classroom as in the real world through travel.
